RAP Trust safeguarding policy applies across all organisational activity and includes partner organisations delivering RAP Trust services.

Risk May Exist Beyond the Individual
Sometimes the risk is in the environment around the person.
RAP Academy® recognises that harm can exist within peer groups, neighbourhoods, relationships, exploitation networks, community settings, online environments and social contexts. This is particularly important where young people are affected by violence, coercion, exploitation or harmful peer dynamics.
The intervention should never focus solely on changing the individual while ignoring the environment surrounding the behaviour.
Commission with Assurance
Partnership does not dilute responsibility.
RAP Trust safeguarding policy applies across organisational activity and includes partner organisations delivering RAP Trust services.
Partnership arrangements can therefore consider: safeguarding responsibilities, Designated Safeguarding Lead pathways, risk assessment, incident reporting, contextual safeguarding, disclosure management, escalation, professional boundaries, information-sharing and multi-agency liaison.
