RAP Academy® and RAP Trust programmes are available through commissioned and partnership delivery. If you are a professional, organisation or service considering a referral, contact us to discuss suitability and next steps.

Who can refer

Referral partners

Referrals are accepted from professionals and organisations working with children, young people and adults. This includes:

  • Local authorities
  • Schools and alternative provision
  • Youth Justice Services
  • Community safety and violence-reduction services
  • Custodial and secure settings
  • Community and voluntary-sector organisations
  • Health and wellbeing services
  • Families and carers — please contact us to discuss

Referral and participation remain subject to programme suitability, needs, safeguarding and the delivery environment. RAP Trust will discuss suitability before any referral is progressed.

Who we support

Participants we work with

RAP Academy® and RAP Trust programmes can support children, young people and adults who may benefit from creative, relational and experiential approaches to engagement and development. This can include participants experiencing:

  • Disengagement from conventional learning
  • Social exclusion or marginalisation
  • Behavioural or emotional-regulation challenges
  • Risk of offending or exploitation
  • Low confidence or limited sense of direction
  • Communication or learning barriers
  • SEND-related needs where appropriately assessed
  • Difficulty engaging with conventional interventions

The above is not an exhaustive eligibility list. Suitability is assessed in discussion with the referrer and in the context of the specific programme and commissioning arrangement.

What happens after you refer

Enquiry received

Your referral enquiry is received by RAP Trust.

Suitability discussion

RAP Trust will contact you to discuss the referral, the relevant programme and whether it is appropriate for the participant.

Mobilisation

Where a referral is progressed, safeguarding responsibilities, delivery arrangements and any information-sharing requirements are agreed as part of mobilisation.

Response times and availability depend on current commissioned capacity. RAP Trust will advise at the point of contact.
