Since 1996, RAP Academy® has used creativity, mentoring, lived experience and structured intervention to engage people others can struggle to reach. Today, our programmes support young people, adults and families across community, education and criminal justice settings — building identity, accountability, opportunity and pathways towards lasting change.

ENGAGE THE PERSON. DEVELOP THE INDIVIDUAL. TRANSFORM THE OUTCOME.
RAP Academy began in 1996 through Music Communication 'N' Life Skills — a creative approach to reaching young people at risk. Over nearly three decades it has evolved into a multidisciplinary intervention platform spanning mentoring, violence reduction, personal development, creative and digital learning, health and wellbeing, family work, custody and reintegration. Established 1996. Still here. Still building.

The Numbers Behind the Work
Across RAP Academy, RAP Mentors, Reaching All People and the wider body of work developed since 1996, we estimate that more than 220,000 people have been reached through mentoring, education, creative engagement, community programmes, violence reduction, criminal justice interventions and outreach.
Reaching All People: A Recorded Legacy
Long before today's RAP Trust, Reaching All People had already established a substantial track record in specialist mentoring and youth engagement. Within the Gripping the Offender enhanced offender-management framework, Reaching All People was recorded as having trained more than 400 mentors and worked with over 100,000 young people.
That legacy forms part of a wider journey spanning approximately three decades. Across RAP Academy, RAP Mentors, Reaching All People and the wider body of work developed since 1996, we estimate that more than 220,000 people have been reached through mentoring, education, creative engagement, community programmes, violence reduction, criminal justice interventions and outreach.
